As far as I understand the Carman Golf course was originally a 9 hole course (the current back 9) and both 9s are very different from each other. The front 9 is a very excellent course. Not very long but does provide good hole and tee shot variety.
The back 9 is surrounded by tall trees. Misplaced tee shots and approach shots will be punished severely. There is nothing wrong with this design of course but it can feel very tight off the tee and overly difficult in some instances.
Green's and fairways were very well maintained and played fast and firm with alot of roll out.
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a nice round that is not a far drive from the city.
