I enjoy playing Hickory Ridge. I’ve played there seven or eight times over the last year, and I’ve found it to be a challenging course that isn’t overly punishing to the occasional golfer. Mishits are generally playable, but many of the holes are tree-lined preventing a golfer from playing a slice/hook from the next fairway. Many of the holes have elevation changes and dog legs that require a golfer to come up with a strategy that varies throughout the round. Greens can be a little rough in spots, but won’t affect your scores negatively. The sand traps aren’t raked regularly and can be hard packed on a few holes, but the majority are still fine to swing out of. This course also has the best all-grass driving range in the area. As of now, Hickory Ridge is my golf course of choice, and I look forward to playing many more rounds there.
