Turf is super healthy. Greens are rolling true at medium fast speed. They're scarred more than they should be -- it's very clear that too many players don't fix their pitch marks -- but you still get true performance on the roll, so it's easy to let that go. I continue to contend that having a good seed/sand mix available in the golf cart side boxes would make a HUGE difference in the fairway conditions. However, for the third straight round I've played at Gateway, the divot repair side box on the cart was dead empty. My group wanted to repair the divots we made, but couldn't. Others clearly faced the same issue based on how carved up the fairways were.
That said, it's still a great course in pretty darn decent condition given how much play it gets. Always enjoyable to play there.
