Have played here since the day it opened. Some very well placed trees from original have died and been removed(#5,17) making holes a bit easier. It is my favorite course. I was fortunate enough to have played as a member for 5 years before moving. I return several times a year since. Great food, service and facility. The course is magnificent with three nice opening holes followed by a long par 3 that begins to reveal the gem of a challenge that is Shepherd’s Crook.
Fantastic course. Long par 3’s and par 5’s. Avoid the rough at all costs. If it goes in the tall stuff, it’s a goner. Wouldn’t recommend for beginners, but wonderful course overall
Best value in all of Illinois. From suburbs of Chicago and would drive an hour to play this course again in a heartbeat. Rainy day for us so conditions were a little wet, but it was a fun course to play.
