Simi Hills Golf Course is one of the best public golf options in the Ventura County area. The layout is enjoyable and fair, with enough strategic elements to challenge better players while still being playable for mid- and high-handicappers. The course features rolling fairways, well-placed bunkers, and several water hazards that come into play without feeling excessive. Tee boxes are varied, allowing you to adjust the difficulty depending on how you want to play the round.

Great value for the price, greens are kept well and are decently fast. Though you can get bad lies being in the rough with some lies having your ball in a dirt divot. The holes were challenging enough with some downhill and uphill par 4s and 5s. Would definitely come back again.

When I’m preparing for a tournament I come here because the greens always run at about a 12 and are very well taken care of. Also J’s club shack is my club guy. My home course is Wilson/Harding but this place is worth the trip on tournament prep
