Pace of play is kind of slow at times on this oourse. There were times we had to wait on the tee box for the fair way to clear, but it wasn't the people in front us, it was the group ahead of them, etc. Some tee boxes were un3ven or slanted so might need to becare where your aiming, otherwise the greens were nice.
This is a beautiful course, in good conditions, but there are a few problems….
If you look back for a number of years there are issues with pace of play. That is still the case. In two outings i never had sight of a ranger. But the pace of play was very slow. Twice they overbooked me with a foursome and put us in a difficult position.
The course itself is challenging and requires skill across-the-board. I had opportunities for every shot shape and creative options off the tee. It really is a great course. But the final thing I would say is that the course rating is very inaccurate. There is not a single flag that is not on a slope. The greens are fast and as someone who regularly putts at a high level, I struggled greatly with the fast holes on slopes as did the members that I played with. The course has a lot of narrow fairways with very little rust so that a number of them you are either on the fairway or behind a tree. There’s not much of a buffer with rough. Overall great course
