Course is in great shape. Looks like grass and trees were cut recently. A few greens have punch marks from aeration and are generally slow. Wind was a factor and lots of walkers made it nearly a five hour round. Exceeded expectations overall.

Beautifully designed course but terrible conditions. Even if you’re 1-2 ft off the fairway into the “bushes” the ball is lost forever. I took a few unfortunate bounces off the fairway and landed in the marsh. Also, the middle of certain fairways are muddy and unplayable.

It’s a shame how this Alister McKenzie course has run down to junk. Their crew has not been able to move down the fairways and if they did their blades are so dull that fairway height stay at 2in (currently their fairways are at 4in). Areas that have not been cut are 6 to 18inch in height. Locals will cut their spot or play their own holes. The staff their DGAF. Don’t be alarmed if a player sneaks on towards canyon side.

Course is not well maintained at all. A handful of holes are borderline unplayable. Lots of muddy grass that makes it hard to enjoy the course.

Course was in tragic conditions. We were warned ahead of time that the course was muddy, but that was an understatement. None of the fairways had been mowed, likely Due to Bay Area winter storms. You will lose your golf ball, no matter where you hit it, even if its center of fairway.

Course is lacking proper drainage and muddy.
The staff is friendly and warned us about the conditions. He said there is no refunds but we proceeded.
Fairways and greens need major maintenance. Avoid this course during the winter.

The course is actually decent. But if it’s rained recently, be aware, this course has some of the worst drainage I’ve ever experienced. Had a fairway shot into a pond that’s not a hazard. Some spots, it looks solid but it’s just so saturated, you step and the water almost comes up to your laces. The greens are ok.
There is no driving range to warm up. I checked in and got put into a group of 3 about 20 mins before my tee time so didn’t get to practice putting. Tee boxes are actually not bad.
