Tee boxes suck but good, tough, narrow course
Great, fun course for an enjoyable solo twilight round.
Grabbed a 4:28 PM time for $42 at lunchtime today and got to play a solo round here. Pace was a little slow (3-5 min of wait each hole). Got all 18 in as the sun was setting.
Extremely well maintained, muni course that was wide open but pushed you to pick and choose your shots/clubs.
Happily go back there anytime I can!
This has become my home course and my favorite course. For the deals that come by and the early morning 9 hole walking rate. I’ve been golfing for majority of my life and there’s a certain quality at Rio Hondo that just stands above the rest. It’s so very well maintained for a public course. The fairways are tight but the greens are so rewarding. The greens keeping team there and management do a great job at maintaining great quality thru out the course. Challenging greens and soft bunkers.
Honor to play with Quiton Bell father, Aaron
