Battleground is below average, however they are making progress. I played this course about 6 months ago and it was unplayable. From tee to green it sucked! Tee boxes were mostly dirt, fairways were patchy, and the greens were all sand traps. I was surprised to see that most of the greens on the back 9 looked pretty good actually. The damage they did have was mostly on the fringe and didn't effect play. The front 9, however, were still in bad shape. Three were so bad they still have temporary greens cut into the fairways. The other 6 had damage scattered across most of the putting surface and did effect play. The tee boxes have grown in and the fairways are way better. I hope they get the greens on the front 9 sorted out as this is one of my favorite courses in the area.

Greens are pretty bad right now. Front nine has 3 temp greens set up. Rest have lots of bald spots. Rest of the course was ok.

Never played a course in this bad of shape. Cool history, but they let this course go. Multiple greens had to be moved. Will never come back.
