Not trashing the course, still good value for how much it costs. This is also mid August.
Fairways about 80%dead grass and dirt. Greens about half are bumpy and patchy. If you can get over that, decent place to play for $23

The tee boxes and greens are barely passable. The fairways are dirt and cracked from lack of water. It’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect for $10

Boxes, approaches, and greens are in good shape! The fairways will teach you everything about your irons. A true hidden gem

Our most visited place to play. It’s fun and challenging due to the conditions. I see it helpful to play here with the rough conditions as it helps myself play better on premium courses elsewhere. Lockhart state park golf course is the best option for beginners and players new to the game: easy on the wallet, very few hazards, plenty of opportunities to play with the driver, woods/hybrids, irons and gap wedges.

$9 for 9 holes is the least I’ve spent on a round of golf in my life. Course is also decently maintained
