I recommend going out when the weather is less than ideal. Any time Fort Worth has decent weather you get every walk of life with no knowledge of golf etiquette coming out to play 6 hour rounds, people driving into you mid fairway, etc… Pecan Valley is beautiful, but the city needs to add some funding for much needed Renovations.

A lot of leaves and limbs down on the fairways

This is the second course at Pecan Valley. The price is great, but in the summer they don't really irrigate the course, so the grass is yellow and dead almost entirely. The greens were in ok shape, quite slow. However, it is very rarely used so I took my 9 year old son there and didn't have to rush him. If you're looking for a place to practice while you play or bring beginners, this is the course. The river course on the other side looked to be in very good shape and isn't that much more $$.
