The par 3 course could use a little attention on the tee boxes. They need a good mowing. On a lot of the holes it's hard to find a spot to hit the ball that's like hitting out of the second cut off fairways. If you tee your ball up on par 3's you would be fine, but if you're like me and only tee your ball up for your driver, you might get a little unnerved by it. The greens are also a bit long but that's what makes golf fun, the challenge that every course presents, whether it's the green speed, the hole locations, or the layout. If you can't adapt to play the course in order to try and beat it, or if you don't like to, you aren't a true golfer. If every course was driver, wedge, putter, what fun would it be? Stony Creek is fun and the championship course can be a challenge playing from the gold's. They maintain it very well, and all the guys that work here are friendly and are easy going gentlemen.
