Elbel is a wonderful golf course. Carved into an area of natural wetlands, it's scenic beauty is rivaled only by that of South Bend Country Club. It is kept in immaculate shape by the greenskeeping crew, and the clubhouse staff are pleasant, laid-back, and cheerful. The bends and doglegs are well placed, and create safe and risky options for each shot. Because of the well placed doglegs the relatively long yardage doesn't feel intimidating. The greens are very large, and consistent. Each hole has a unique flavor, and I enjoy every one of them on this terrific course
