Tons of bunkers but really nice, fun track. With monsoon season in full swing be sure to bring your mesquito repellent. Great value.

Booked my tee time 2 months ago and there was no notice greens would be aerated at the time of booking. I got an email with less than 24 hours that greens were aerated, with no refund option. Greens were very slow and bouncy. Lots of bunkers that weren’t generous, it was like hitting off concrete. There is a lot of construction. Course is getting a new clubhouse in Spring 2027. Friendly staff. Fairways were great in the middle of July. Would recommend for the right price.

Punched greens were sandy but good for the money. Pace of play was an issue till guys snuck in ahead of us at the turn. Def would go back

Overall Southern Dunes is a solid and challenging track. As of May 30th, 2026, the greens are firm and pretty quick, and can be hard to hold if you don’t control your ball. However several greens have some dead patches and spotty patches throughout. The putts didn’t roll as good to a couple pin locations because the patchy areas. The bunkers are okay but some are in mediocre condition without a lot of sand or just really dried out in spots.
