Having visited the Orlando/Kissimmee area several times a year for the past 30 years, this was my first time playing Deer Island Country Club. The clubhouse and snack bar offer a wonderful "small-town" feel, and the staff provided a very warm reception. While the carts lack GPS, they are comfortable and well-maintained. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Interestingly, the bunkers consist of a silky, dirt-like material rather than traditional sand; it’s quite easy to play out of
Very challenging course with a ton of water hazards. If you don’t feel confident playing over water this isn’t the course to play. Challenging greens with double breaks and fun elevations. The fairways were super nice and only a few dry spots in some areas that you could tell they were addressing. All in all a really good course that will test you with hazards.
This is the best course I've played in Central Florida, especially for the value! Amazing and not packed. Blessed that it's my home course!
Perfect condition and great value
