For the money it wasn’t bad ,course was a little rough. Staff at the club house was great
Greens consistent & firm, smooth rolling.
Sand traps have little fluff, mostly hard.
Fairways better than average for this time of yr.
Like the layout a lot.
Grass around greens and some of the fairways are in need of some love. You will definitely want to hit greens in regulation & stay centered in fairways. Overall fair course.
Nice clubhouse, driving range, putting and chipping greens. Nice views and challenging holes. Some greens appear to be under some repair or early grass growing. Overall good value for the price we got.
Played the Pines course. The weather looked ugly so it kept folks away which allowed me to complete a round in 2-1/2 hours, bonus! Course is in good shape, fairways were mostly nice and green, some Hard pan and sand mixed in (it’s Florida…) greens were well maintained and had good speed. Definitely will play again when I’m down this way.
The Pines course is well kept and has been updated in the last year or so. The greens roll well and are fairly quick. Over all a good challenge.
I wish they’d update the Oaks course as it’s in rough shape and the greens not good.
Greens are two months old, just went through a complete overhaul on all 18 greens. They are fantastic; firm, fast, they roll true, better than any muni within 100 miles.
A few new additions, changes in long-hitting landing zones in fairways with real rough patches and narrow channels. Really fun to play! From a local golfer who’s been playing here for 15 years, thank you Fort Walton Beach giving some care to a much loved course!

Pines is looking great after a year of remodel. More wide open than Oaks but the greens are tucked into corners and more water/sand hazards.
