The course is beautiful. Drove out from Huntsville to play, and it’s a breath of fresh air for a public course. The greens were immaculate and fast, but very fair. Some of the best I’ve ever played on. Nice open layout and doesn’t punish good misses, but there’s definitely some hazards. A few hidden water hazards on some holes if you’ve never played or studied the layout. Only complaint is the lack of drainage on some holes leading to some vast pockets of standing water, but it’s understandable for the rain we’ve had the past few days. But otherwise great for April golf in Northern Alabama. Can’t wait to try out the Lake Course.
