Laid gently against the mountain side just outside of Woodland Park, CO, Shining Mountain is truly a magnificent hidden gem in the Colorado golf community. With a perfect mixture of tree laden holes tucked into the bosom of the Colorado forrest, and wide open front range views of the humbling mountains that surround, every hole is guaranteed to incite that sigh of peaceful relief that we all do diligently seek. The fairways are just that... fair, but not so easy as to allow players the ability to spray wildly. The greens are definitely manageable, allowing for skilled putters to pick up a couple of those long birdies we all love to boast about. All on all, Shining Mountain is definitely worth the drive to check out; if you do, I would wager that it won't be your last visit to this immaculate and inviting track.
