Played Applewood Golf Course in Augusta, GA today, and the greens were absolutely horrific. I understand it’s early in the season, but these were some of the worst putting surfaces I’ve seen in a long time. The greens were patchy, bumpy, covered in sand, and full of dead spots. In several places, it didn’t even feel like putting on a green — it felt like putting on a fairway or bare dirt. Balls were bouncing, skidding, and changing direction constantly, making it impossible to get a true roll.

Overall, nice golf course. Friendly staff member, descent practice facility. Average pace of play during masters weekend. Fairways are wide open bunkers are in descent shape. Greens had spots here and there that needed attention. Would recommend and play again.

This is a great course we drive an hour to play it. The fairways are open and the lay out is great. Hole 18 is covered in bunkers. The course is owner operated and you can tail they care about the little things. Great place to play!
