Is it a well designed “difficult” course to play, or are the fairways unkept and unreasonable to play on, and did the course builders simply take advantage of unused land. Yes it was hard to play, but not because of a lack of skill, luck, or whatever you want to attribute a good round too. The course is cut into rolling N. Georgia hills, and not designed to play normal golf shots.
Course was in extremely solid shape for late February.
Don’t know what some of these other reviews are in about. Course is in good shape, rough is a good length and tough. This course definitely makes you think about your shots a bit due to elevation, but it’s a fun challenge. Only complaint is some of the tee boxes are not level, however I thoroughly enjoyed my round. Will be back!
Very friendly staff and cheap for how nice the course is
Greens were in excellent shape (bent grass) and were enjoyable to putt on. This course is difficult due to its narrow drive lanes from the tee box. Several holes have extremely awkward layouts such as #18 Par 5. Pace of play was very slow and they were even working on testing water levels of the greens during our round in the morning which added delays. Do not recommend for players wanting to “grip it and rip it”, much better for older players or folks who need to workout their short game.
Awesome course! Perfect and challenging. Be ready for a 5-5.5 hour round though.

Do not get a tee time after 9:30am on Monday-Wednesday. There seniors play a 16 group tournament and you will be out there for over 6 hours. If you get in before 9am you can beat them.
