You can tell the new ownership has put effort into reviving this course. I give them kudos for that. The back nine is in much better condition than the front nine, and hole 16 in particular was probably in the best shape from tee box to green.
With that said, however, the price point is way to high for a course that is in the process of improving.
River Downs is far from the finish line at this point, and there are other courses around that are the same price, or less, and in much much much better shape. (Challedon, Gettysburg, and evening Westminster National)
Again props to the new owners on their clear effort at improving the property, but I will not be returning until either the prices are lowered, or the course grows to meet the standards of similar priced courses in the area.

I hadn't been here in years. Saw it was under new owners and we were stuck for tee times. I can see the work being put into it. Club house looks great. And my expectations were not high at all. With all of that being said, it was $1 more than Links at Gettysburg and double the price of Westminster National. The price doesn't compare. I do hope they keep improving the conditions. Everyone was very nice and felt welcoming, but bang for the buck is not there yet.
