Ponkapoag is a disaster—overgrown fairways, cratered greens, and bunkers that look like abandoned construction sites. The place feels completely forgotten, like the staff quit years ago and no one noticed. Pace of play is a nightmare, signage is nonexistent, and good luck finding anything that resembles actual course maintenance. This isn’t golf—it’s punishment with a price tag.

Honestly for $45 it still isn’t worth it. The green have massive dirt holes, and the tee boxes are either all dirt or weeds. I had to move my ball off the fairway (pictured) because it was unplayable. It’s a place to take your kid or first time golfers but not a place to enjoy a round of golf. The bunkers didn’t have rakes, and honestly the worst “greens” I’ve ever experienced.
