This is my first season as a new golfer. I love this course. I was playing City Par 3, which was a blast, but I believe I will get better faster playing here due to needing a driving stroke with a driver, some woods off the deck, and general regular “real course” conditions. Happy to be a part of the gang!
Yegen is very short with a handful of sand bunkers and a few grass bunkers. The#18 handicap hole (5) is actually more like the #3. Virtually all OB is left on this course and the rough between holes is often high but wispy so it's not a bear to play from. Don't hit woods when you stray onto the mounds ..... play irons always.
Local tips: cut off#2 by aiming straight at the flag if you can carry 260 or so off the tee.
No OB left on 4 so you can play 6 fairway if there's no traffic. It's a short par 5 regardless.
Play a draw to #6 fairway over pond if you get 270 or more off the tee.
Play 9 left side or even down alley of trees to left since you can run out into the pond with a 270+ tee shot over the mound on left.
On 14 step off green and left folks on tee hit, then finish.
15...tee shot up line of mounds right.
18....up mounds left to avoid water right.
