We got stuck behind a foursome and couldn’t play through! The longest our group has ever played is 4hrs. Today took us 4hrs. 36minutes! Several guys a few holes behind us gave up and quit their round.

This course screams old school. Holes are and tees are close together encouraging walking. Fairways are not so wide, but are easy enough to hit if you hit a decent shot. It’s the greens with the teeth here. Ellis Maples and Donald Ross must have graduated from the same golf design school. The elevations and contours on these smaller green will give you post round nightmares. They are phenomenal true and very readable. Hit the ball in the right direction with the right speed and it will go in.

Great value, very well maintained. Challenging and fun layout. Would rate condition 5 stars if greens weren’t recently plugged. Still kept them very playable. Grounds crew obviously are very experienced.
