This course is one of a few Pete Dye designed courses in the state of North Carolina. The trees on the golf course have gotten much bigger over the years making the course seem a lot tighter than it used to be. In order to score well, you must focus on keeping the ball in the fairway. The greens are relatively small so as long as you hit the ball in the middle of most of the greens, you will not have too long of putts. The greens are at their fastest in the fall, which makes it even better.

First, a round of applause to the agronomy team — this course is in fantastic shape.
This is definitely one of the harder courses I’ve played in awhile. I decided to play the tips, which may have been a mistake on my part. Almost every tee shot was blind, which wasn’t ideal. Other than that, the course is a great challenge for the more competitive types!
