This is a fantastic, local golf course. Don’t let the average score scare you, this course will serve most golfers well. For long hitters, 3/4 par 5s are gettable in 2 somewhat consistently. The greens tend to roll slow and are mostly flat or sloped in one direction only. Holes 9 and 14 are the lowest handicaps for a reason; neither par 4 leaves a short iron or wedge in off the tee, unlike most other par 4s on the course. Pace of play is fine on weekdays and in off-hours, but expect the course to be busy every weekend. The course condition is incredible considering just how much play it receives. The greens are usually free of large pitch marks, the fairways and roughs are rarely burnt out, and the bunkers have a very soft sand that I appreciate. Swing by this course if you’re in the Cleveland area for some of the best public golf west of town!
