I was excited for my first round (9) of 2019 after work on a Tuesday, but it seemed like the older fellow behind the counter didn’t share my same enthusiasm. After teeing off on 8, as I was walking back to my cart I see him riding a cart down the fairway to me. No big deal, he stopped me and made it clear that I was holding him up. After taking my time on the green and on the par-four 9th. I parked next to my car in the lot, as you do to drop off your clubs, and as soon as I grabbed my bag he came out and took my cart to the clubhouse and away he went. Mind you, it was around 6:45pm, with plenty of sunlight to spare. Who knows he could’ve been late for something important, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, but I thought golf was a timeless sport. I’m a younger guy, just didn’t expect that out of an older gentleman at a golf course, to bad too because I really enjoyed the course itself.
