This course challenges almost every tee shot, with not a lot of forgiveness on either side of the fairways. Laying up is sometimes the best bet, if you’re looking to hit a low score. Otherwise, if you convert on a nice, accurate drive, then it can be extremely rewarding. The fairways are very dry and burnt out in areas. There may not be a sprinkler system on the fairways. It’s easy to move the ball a little bit and find some nice grass to hit off of. All in all, fairways are easily playable. Greens are kept up well for the most part, with a few greens needing help in spots. The speed of the greens is great. Not too fast, not too slow. Some greens have challenging slopes, while some are more relaxed. I’ll come back just for the scenery. Great views of Lake Superior in the background on several holes. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Reasonably priced. Great food, as well. Friendly workers.
