A once hidden gem is now open for public enjoyment. One of two courses at the Fort Jackson Golf Club, Old Hickory (aka "the water course") offers challenges on every hole. You should make Fort Jackson Golf Club a destination for great golf in Columbia SC.

Played on a day after it rained. The greens handled the rain very well. The fairways were soft in a few areas. Overall the course was open and mostly straightforward. Well maintained. Although they could do better spacing tee times with an actual starter when it’s busy. The putting green very near the first tee is great while waiting.
