Pace of play issues as always. The starter was taking cart numbers to track peoples time at the turn but that’s not the issue. They schedule their tee times too close together and refuse to change. That said, course is in the best shape I’ve seen it. Greens are slow but in good condition. Sand was about average but well groomed. Number 18 had some water in the fairway which is strange because it hasn’t rained, but other than that, decent.
Course is in good shape right now. (Late May 2024) The greens are running pretty true. The bunkers, I was only in one, have lots of shells and rocks. That’s always been an issue at Honey Bee.
My only real issue is that there’s no starter. So guys go off on twosomes and singles. It slows down play. We were behind two twosomes that were behind a slow foursome. It wasn’t the worse but a starter pairing up smaller groups and enforcing tee times, instead of go whenever, would help.
