Best course in Kitsap. Must play.
Excellent day. 60 deg and sunny for first time in months. Greens slow due to recent snow and heavy rain and greens can't be cut yet. Some fairways wet but still enjoyable round with few people here on a Thursday.
Played behind a tournament so it was a 5hr round of golf.
Course is designed to be challenging but playable and showcased by a beautiful forest.
Greens are puttable but missed approach shots have narrow greens to aim for on chip shots along with tiered greens.
Some fairways get ridiculously narrow around the spot where a good drive would come in, along with strategic bunkers to penalize errant swings.
Staff was exceptionally friendly. Driving range has some good targets.
Probably the most punitive and difficult golf course I have ever played in 40 years of golfing. Course was in great shape and round was 4.5 hours. Definitely need a course Marshal which was non existent. Recommend you seriously consider NOT playing this course unless your index is much less than 10. Beware!
