From the tee box all the way to the greens were very fast. The ground was so compacted, it was difficult even getting the tee set. Pace of play was very slow as the group before me would not allow any faster players to play thru. Cart paths were as if we were in an off road motor cross event. Be careful where you step, there were random holes you had to move around and avoid twisting ankles in. On a positive note, there’s no tee time required and can show up whenever.

Royal is in great condition right now. For the price it’s the best place to golf on the north shore
