Greens are like putting on glass

New ownership and heard great things. I am a regular now since they have great pro shop employees. I had not had any problems until the other day when I caught up with an old friend and we were about to tee up and some guy with a course security flag on his cart sped over to us and started pointing at the trash can and yelling at my friend that he needed to remove his beer cans from the trash and take them to his car because he didn’t buy them here. I was laughing, thought my friend knew him and they were just messing around especially since the cans were not ours and mostly because my friend is a recovering alcoholic. Once I realized it wasn’t a friend, I was told to not worry about it and we tried to play on but this guy insisted to do it or he would have us banned. My friend did what he said and never returned. I have asked around about this guy and from my understanding he does not work there but is a close friend to the manager. Not sure how many people have been run off.
