Today was my first time playing Wicker Hills. The course is well kept. I did enjoy playing here. The fairways and rough is cut short. The greens were well kept. Only a couple greens had small areas of damage but over they are good. This area of Michigan is sand so the course is hard packed sand making the fairways and greens play fast. The atmosphere was nice and the staff and golfers were very friendly. I will definitely play here again. The price to play is also very affordable.

Course was not maintained at all. The fairways had grass and chunks of dirt pulled up all over the course. It looked like someone went to each hole and in the middle of the fairway just started smashing their clubs into the ground. Random holes in the ground around the greens. Between sprinklers missing covers or just plain holes. The greens had dirt and loose grass everywhere. Each putt would have took me at least 2-3 mins to clear my shot path. And we had a scheduled tee time, but yet when 15 people came walking in behind us, paying cash, with no reservation, they were sent out on the course directly behind us. So needless to say, the first 2 holes we nearly got hit with a ball from behind, because the players weren’t required to wait for the next tee time. They just kept going one after another after another. Until we finally turned around and commented on it. Then when we mentioned it to the staff in the clubhouse after our first nine, they acted as if it was typical. Will not retu
