The course has some very challenging features but is not so intimidating that a person who is new to the game would feel like maybe golf isn’t for them, which doesn’t help any of us who love this game. The best part about this facility is the variety of practice areas they have which are very very useful. There is a practice area with an enormous putting surface, a range for practicing short (up to probably 45yd)shots, another short range which has hills, sand traps, fairway grass/feel, etc. that is about 100-150yds, and of course the actual normal driving range which has yardage markers up into the high 200s. Lastly, they are part of a program where lessons can be taken in a group, greatly reducing the individual costs for what one would pay to learn the same information privately. They are fortunate to have a great staff that will do anything possible in order to make sure you have a great experience. I work at a prestigious private club but LOT is just as nice....almost.
