This course is great, especially for what it is, a leftover from a more prosperous time. It's a wonderful course that is plagued by a town with almost no economy. It operates with a razor thin margin and a skeleton crew that puts their all into it. Unfortunate, but you just can't get the results you could with a more profitable course. I don't know if they will be around forever, but if the day comes that it no longer is, it will be a sad day for golf. A course that went to the wayside due to Oregon's ideological destruction of our natural resource industry, along with disincentivizing corporations who do business in these communities (even if our corporate tax rates are low, see: protesters.). I strongly recommend you play it at least once. The greens are phenomenal in the summer and it is a beautiful course with great prices. Every round helps this struggling community and is greatly appreciated. This course if filled with lifetimes of family memories and is a piece of art.
