This course has been in such perpetually terrible shape for years now. Greens are constantly covered in sand with dead spots and pitch marks everywhere. Half of the fairways barely have grass on them most of the time. The carts are gas powered and barely run. The back nine essentially has the same hole five times (a long, straightaway par 4 with a tight fairway on holes 11, 12, 13, 15, and 17). Yet despite all of this, the cost to play here is still higher than the cost to play at Lakeside, a course less than five minutes away with a beautiful clubhouse, top-of-the-line carts, cheaper greens fees, and a fun, well-kept course with some variety and 18 different holes. The Links has a friendly atmosphere and a fun front 9 in terms of design, but the conditions and value are unfortunately bottom tier.
