Marshall isn’t smart

I understand that at the end of the golf season expectations on courses should be weighted. But this course is just neglected. The greens are the only good part of the course. The farways are a mixture of rough length, dirt patch and weeds on every hole. You never fully know what you'll get whne you try to find your ball. I can't imagine even in peak season this course is any better than what it was when I played. Because the issues weren't just end of season. They are long neglected.

First time here, and I was super impressed by the layout. Very fun and visually pleasing holes. The pro shop and Grill staff were very pleasant, and our food was good. It didn't knock our socks off, but our sandwiches and salad were just fine, and a good value. We basically had the place to ourselves. The greens were in decent shape as we're the tee boxes, but now for the bad. These fairways...what is the deal? I mean I know it's August in Oklahoma but some of these fairways were is such terrible shape. I grew up playing hardpan lies 9 months a year in Wyoming. Know what? Those were better than some of these fairways. I don't know if it was due to the freeze in February, or neglect, or flooding at some point but it's kind of sad. A course with such promise yet one that I wouldn't go out of my way to play again, at least until the fairways improve. I really hope it was just bad circumstances and things improve by next year. I'd love to come back when it's in better shape.

aqua canyon is a great course. there is lots of water, about half of them have a hazard and no sand bunkers to be found. staff is friendly enough. they do a great job keeping up the course, i always manage to land in the tall stuff anyway. i’ve played here 7 or so times this summer and i’ve had a great time. back 4 holes of the course are wide open and can get pretty gusty if you go on a windy day. the 4th hole is my favorite, it reminds me of something. great bang for your buck, and since the course is rarely too busy, a great getaway.
