Beautiful course in very good condition, decently fast greens when we played. Seems like it would be reasonably easy to walk. One of my favorite central Iowa courses

I golf 3 times a week and I would say this is the nicest muni within 30 minutes of Des Moines. The best value for golf you will find in Iowa. $28 walking and it is a very walkable course because of how flat it is. The greens are in great shape and just like any true links course you can putt from 50 feet off if you want. I guarantee you will never hit the same shot twice no matter how many times you play this course. Definitely would recommend. Also I recommend watching No Laying Up’s Strapped Iowa episode of this course. Great insight to the history of the course and some fun antics throughout.
