This course was well below my expectations. I paid $26 for 9 holes during off season rates. The cart paths were horrible and many times broken. The course itself has been badly managed and I feel many areas need repair. I was also amazed at how many of the wooded areas were all torn up, cut through, but not cleaned. Unless they do a ton of work I don’t believe this corse will be ready for next spring or summer.

My first time playing Quail Creek. I thought for a course of this size and the weather we’ve had (especially south) this summer, the course was great. Yeah a few bad spots on a few greens. The worst thing about the greens were all the non repaired divots. I found myself fixing nearly a half dozen per green. That was discouraging considering some of the negative reviews from patrons. Overall better course conditions than I expected.
Staff was friendly. Fellow golfers were friendly. Pace of play was decent. Course layout was pleasantly challenging. Nothing ridiculous. You just can’t bomb every drive. Bends and doglegs draws and fades, layups and rewards for taking chances.
I started as a single but ended up playing 4 through 9 with a father and son who asked if I would like to join. Dan and Greg were great company. Then played the back 9 with another father and who ask me to join if I’d like. Everyone friendly. Had a great time today! Will be back for sure.
