Overall a great course, reasonably priced. Less room for error but hardly any pesky water features. Greens are great even mid January. Used winter T boxes that are what they are.
My first time playing at the Thorpe Wood and it was an amazing experience, so far the best course I have played on, the undulated nature of the course made it very interesting, was playing without any prior knowledge of the course, managed to play my best round ever. Needless to say Thorpe Wood has become my most favourite course now.
First 9 holes were amazing the course was playing brilliant, and we were behid a 2 ball, a four ball and play was fairly quick. Then the 4 caught a 2 ball up and play just stopped, to the extent the 2 ball in front of us walked off after 9 holes. We then caught the 4 ball up and had possibly a 5 minute to 10 minute wait on each T after the 11th. This obviously spoilt the rhythm and enjoyment to the point we walked off after the 15th

Amazing course, staff and condition. It was just the slow play that let it down for me. But by no means was it the staff/course to blame.
Played in Nov 2023 after the x2 storms, yet the condition of the course was bang on. Green nice and fast still. Well done, ground-keepers! 👏
