This course gets worst every time I play here. The tee boxes have never been green, the greens are always dead, and last season only like 3 fairways weren’t completely dead. Could be a beautiful course if kept up with. Won’t be returning until I hear it starts to change.

Unfortunately the course doesn’t seem to have the best upkeep I have seen

Completely redid all greens last fall. Working on fairways, too. Course is starting to look and play great. The owners and staff are great and putting in a lot of time and effort to make this a great venue. Very reasonable fees. The course is in the Shawnee National Forest and is laid out beautifully to take advantage of the location. Will be a premium course in a couple of years based on what they have been able to do in the short time they have owned it. They also have some really nice stay and play packages that not only let you enjoy the golf, but also take advantage of the many other opportunities in Southern Illinois (wineries, breweries, hiking, fishing, rock climbing, zip lines, diving, etc.). And, they have affiliations with other courses in the area if you want to play a different course.
