Olympic golf: Britain’s Justin Rose takes gold in Rio


With Golf making its return to the Olympics after an 112-year hiatus, the stage was set for an exciting conclusion to unfold on the Olympic stage, Sunday. Great Britain’s Justin Rose walked away with gold after a nail-biting finish against Sweden’s Henrik Stenson.

The climactic duel has the golf community buzzing, leaving all who participated in golf’s return proud to have made it out to Rio.

With the likes of Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott refraining from the competition in Rio, the golf community was a bit fragmented going into the Olympics.
