On Saturday, July 8th, 18Birdies will serve as the official live scoring app for the 18Birdies Putting Championship at the annual IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships. The event takes place at the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, CA. The annual tournament is the largest international junior event in the world and has grown to 1,200 participants from 56 different countries.
Players participating in the Putting Championship will be using the 18Birdies app to keep track of their score and how the competition is doing with the built-in live leaderboard.
Previous winners of the Junior World Championships include Jason Day, Tiger Woods, Pat Perez, Emiliano Grillo, Lorena Ochoa and Alison Lee. Ahead of the tournament, we’ll be pushing out a gallery code on our social channels that you can use to follow the action live. You never know – you might just be watching the next best up and coming golfer win the tournament!
