PGA Tour Fantasy Golf DraftKings Picks - Arnold Palmer Invitational

Lock of the week:

Henrik Stenson $11,500 - This paid off last week, and we’re right back it this week with Stenson being our top pick to click. He’s played Bay Hill eight times with four Top 10s and no missed cuts. He’s been vocal about loving the course, and Stenson is in great form. The swingin' Swede is one of the best pure ball strikers from 175 - 200 yards in the game. Last week at the Valspar, Stenson was 2nd in Par 3 Scoring from the 200 - 225 yards range, 18th in SG: Approach, and 5th in Scrambling. Don't be surprised if you see lower ownership numbers in GPPs this week with such a strong field. He’s our guy in the five digit range on DraftKings.

Value Plays

Kevin Kisner $7,600 - Kiz is in fantastic form right now and doing so while being somewhat under the radar. He’s a top play in the major stat categories that translate to success at Bay Hill, including; Scoring, Scrambling, SG: Approach, P3: 200-225. Kisners always loves putting on Bermuda greens too since that’s what he grew up on. The price tag for Kiz is too good to pass up this week. Roll with him in all formats on DraftKings.

Tyrrell Hatton $9,100 - Three Top 10s in the last month for Tyrrell! He’s on fire! Hatton is a scorer, SG: Approach, SG: Putting statistical stud! While he's still a relatively unknown European Tour player to the majority of the general public playing DFS, so he typically goes under-owned in larger GPPs. This a pure form play and a virtual lock to make the cut.

Charles Howell III $6,900 - DraftKings is clearly off it’s regular medicine routine here pricing Chuckie 3 sticks at below the $7K threshold. He hasn’t missed a cut all year. He’s a premier ball striker and scrambler. He makes a ton of birdies. He’s played Bay Hill 16 times with 14 made cuts and one Top 10. We would avoid him in a GPP, as we predict that his ownership will be high and his lack of Top 10s in 16 attempts seems to show limited upside. However, Howell III is a cash game building block that offers a lot of salary cap room for the rest of your draft. Where there's a will, there's a How(ell) in our lineups this week.

Best bargain basement option

Lucas Glover $6.700 - Lucas is another player that DraftKings continues to undervalue, and we will continue taking advantage of the bargain basement discount, especially in cash game formats.  Glover's game fits like a glove; he hasn’t missed a cut all year. He’s coming off two Top 25s in his last two events. He’s made five of seven cuts here at Bay Hill. Gloveer scores well in DraftKings and is known as one of the best ball strikers on the PGATour. Yes please!

Player to avoid

Branden Grace $8,300 - The South African is an easy fade for us given his less than stellar form and price in comparison to the options around him. There are clearly better plays is this price neighborhood for us to take advantage of this week. He’s coming off a finish in Mexico where he finished middle of the pack and a MC at the Honda Classic. The last two times he played Bay Hill, he finished 62nd and missed a cut the year prior. Grace ranks 127th on tour in SG: Approach, 167th Around the Green, and 117th in Scoring. I think we can just stop there and all agree to spend our salary cap elsewhere.
