Fantasy Golf on DraftKings -  The Greenbrier Classic

Lock of the week:

Webb Simpson $10,100 - Let’s see...Webb has made 11/15 cuts this year with three T10s. He’s one of the best in the field in SG: Approach & SG: Around the Green. He also LOVES the Greenbrier Classic! He’s made 4/6 cuts with three T10s at this event. We can look past the five digit price tag in such a weak field with Webb because he’s just a steady cut maker. The high price tag may even drive his ownership down a bit.

Value Plays:

Keegan Bradley $9,400 - Keegan is coming off back to back T10s the last two weeks. He’s never missed a cut at the Greenbrier in four appearances here with one T10. Keegan checks a ton of stat boxes tee to green. With the fairways being wider at the Old White TPC, we aren’t as afraid of Keegan spraying it all over the venue. We aren’t playing a lot of cash games this week due to the field strength, but we love Keegan in GPPs.

Gary Woodland $7,500 - Woodland hasn’t sniffed a top ten since we were wearing sweaters in Georgia, but he’s a consistent cut maker with the upside to win potentially. He’s a bomber that can take advantage of these forgiving fairways. Gary is also coming off the birth of his son, and the Nappy Factor is in full force here. We like the cut making value with winning upside from the new dad.

Stewart Cink $6,900 - This is just ridiculous! Cink’s Vegas odds to win should have him in the $8K range. He’s been incredibly consistent this year, having only missed three cuts in 16 tries. Cink is one of the best in the field in SG: Approach. He’ll be wildly popular we suspect in DraftKings GPPs, but it’s too great of a bargain to pass up. We’ll be overweight in Cink ownership for sure.

Best bargain basement option:

Trey Mullinax $6,400 - We just can’t get enough of Mullinax. He’s an absolute birdie making bomber that can get white hot with the flat stick. He was one of the few guys on the Web.com Tour last season that finished T20 in both Driving Distance and SG: Putting. He hasn’t been putting as well this season on the PGA Tour, but he will take advantage of these wide fairways with his length. The last easy course with a weak field Mullinax bludgeoned to death was at the St. Jude where he finished 18th. He’s a great DraftKings value at $6400 in GPPs.

Player to avoid:

Patrick Reed $11,200 - Reed is in tremendous form for sure. However, as the highest priced player in the field, you need Reed to finish T5 at worst. This is an easy fade for that reason given Reed’s inconsistent season and lack of true star power. He’s not a DJ, Rory, or Spieth. This is merely a value fade for us. The gap between Reed and Keegan, for example, is very small when it comes to odds to win and potential DraftKings points.
