Overall this golf course is pretty decent, but in my opinion (and like many things in New York) overpriced. The saving grace of this course is that the greens are, for a borough bound muni, quite well maintained. This being said there are some quite hairy spots in some of the fairways where and ill placed drive might force a relocation of your ball to avoid scratching and damaging your precious metals. I’d say the biggest draw for this spot is it’s accessibility for people living in the city.
A beautiful but humbling course! Unfortunately got stuck behind 2 very slow foursomes, not the starters fault. Experience was great overall
Went on a weekend, course seems nice at first but later in the round many unpaved and bumpy areas. Dead patches of dirt on fairways and rough.
Greens r not bad though.
There are many beginner players here and round could take very long. They also take your balls so watch out for your balls.
Course-wise, its not that difficult but there are many blind tee shots and blind second shot into greens. Could be difficult to gauge yardage with blind second shot into low elevated greens.
I love playing here early in the mornings. Fantastic start to the work day. Greens are in excellent condition.
3 par 3’s on the back nine caused a slow pace of play. Some tee boxes are in poor condition. No driving range.
