My brother and I played the island course from the back tees on a Wednesday afternoon. The course was in awesome shape with exception of the bunkers. Most of them played like packed wet beach sand. Understandable, because most of the attention probably went into fairways/greens/rough which played very well after a wet weekend. Fairways were the place to be as they were some of the best I have been on so far this year. The rough was not horribly long, but very thick sometimes hiding a ball in plain sight. Greens rolled true, but were deceptively slow. They were receptive, but not as soft as you would think considering the rain over past two weeks. All in all, the course was a very fair test. This is my first time playing the course, but definitely not my last. I love the strategy that the course forces you to consider, the elevation changes are fun, and the island green was a fun hole to play and take pictures. 5 star value after finding hot deal on GolfNow for 18 w/cart for $17 each.
