We recently teamed up with the awesome folks at Patriots Honor to sponsor and score their Annual Honor Our Troops Tournament at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club in San Pedro, CA!
Patriots Honor is a Non-Profit organization dedicated to enabling our veterans who lost limbs during the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts to pursue their recreational passions by providing state-of-the-art prosthetics and top-of-the-line sporting equipment.
The tournament was part of a series of annual events Patriots Honor puts on to support our local heroes close to home. The event also includes the Star Recipient program, which recognizes a wounded veteran. This year’s Star Recipient honoree was Corporal Josh Hotaling, who received a custom-built motorized trike that accommodated his injuries.
The 4-person scramble event was a blast and hosted over 80 players, including World Long Drive Champ, Ryan Winthers. His foursome won the tournament on their last hole, as he unloaded on his drive, which landed pin high to give his team an eagle chance that they needed to convert for the win!
