European Tour on DraftKings: Volvo China Open
Lock of the week: Jordan Smith $10,200 - Jordan may be a rookie but he can compete with the very best. It won’t be long before Smith will impress on a global scale very much like Tommy and Tyrell have. Jordan picked up his 3rd top 10 of the season last week, he’s playing relaxed golf and we really believe this is a course he is going to enjoy. Jordan is full of form, has a solid all-around game, aggressive style player, and capable of winning this week.Value Plays
Fabrizio Zanotti $9,900 - Fabrizio is a no brainer pick. He had an incredibly solid performance last week with a T5, shot 68/65 on the weekend, and amazing stats last year on the same course that obviously suits him tee to green. Zanotti finished T9 here last year when his putter was cold. His putter is heating up as demonstrated this past week, so feel free to let it ride on Fabrizio!
Peter Uihlein $8,300 - At this price, Peter could present real value. Uihlein plays his best when he can have a little fun and can be aggressive. He’s having a solid year with four top 10's already in 2017. While he didn't have as good a week as expected at Genzon, so we’ll be hoping his ownership is lower this week. He’s a true scorer on a scorers track. Consider Uihlein a solid mid-tier value play this week.
Dean Burmester $7,800 - This is incredible value for such a talented player. Dean may not have had the best of luck in his last two events, but this shouldn't distract from his potential to score incredibly well around here. He’s a player with an all-around solid game, hits the ball miles and scores birdies or better for fun. Burmester also extremely capable with the putter in his hand. In the eight events that he’s played, he’s earned a win, three top 10’s, five top 20’s and has yet to miss a cut. That’s value and production wrapped up in a bargain-priced option this week.
Best bargain basement option
Sam Brazel $6,800 - Sam’s already a winner on tour this year in Hong Kong. He has the long game attributes to take on some of the opportunities out there if he can get the putter working this week and stay clear of trouble. We could easily see a top 10 finish here. Consider him a decent GPP option this week at under $7K.Player to avoid
Joost Luiten $10,400 - Joost has been making cuts this season, but his lack of high finishes doesn’t warrant paying up for him this week in the 5 digit range. He tends to be a par maker and less of a true scorer. We’d prefer to save the money and possibly gain an edge in ownership if the general public goes with Joost due to name value. Simply put, he’s a player that we think you should Joost avoid this week.
